In 1990 the practice was relocated to Kansas City, Missouri. As a licensed architect in 19 states, the major specialties of the firm’s work over the past 30 years has been on the planning and design for senior living facilities, hospitality projects, historic renovation and preservation properties and multi-family projects housing projects. Many of the firm’s projects have been financed through 501(c) 3 Bonds, HUD assisted or insured programs, and through various State programs involving tax credits and/or historic tax credits. Ron Reid Associates has received numerous design awards and recognition in professional trade magazines for their design work. As President of Ron Reid Associates, P.C., Ron leads the firm in its mission of maintaining design excellence, and client satisfaction. He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute, the National Trust for Historic Preservation, and the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials. Mr. Reid also served as a Professor of Architecture at Kansas State University for some 9 years. In addition, he has authored several articles including the recently published Designing for Late-State Dementia Care published in Provider magazine; Today’s Healing Gardens are more than Shrubs and Flower; published in the Nursing Homes magazine; and Open House published in the ULI Multifamily Trends magazine. |
